Emma is an artist in the making.
I'm biased, but she. is. good!

These two are from a couple weeks ago.
Titled, Cinderella's before and after.

Emma, very matter of fact: "This is Cinderella. You know, when she was dirty."

Emma, very excited and high-pitched: "This is Cinderella too! When she was married to the prince!"

I'm amused by Cinderella's horrified expression upon finding herself married.
This one was today's creation for her bff, Bayley.
Titled, Evel Knievel.
I'm certain Dr. Seuss would be proud of her motorcycle's paint job.

Emma, concerned for my eyesight: "It's me and Bayley riding a motorcycle. Can't you tell? I'm in the back doing a trick, hanging off the side!"

I saved the best for last.
This one was from when Karen was pregnant with Lily.
Emma was 3 yrs old, and fascinated with mommy's huge belly.
Titled, Family portrait with breasts.

We all have pregnant bellys and boobs, including Tim (the second from left). She said," Yes, he does have bubbles! I saw them, really little!"

On the ice

We took the kids to the Imax and ice skating today.
I sooo suck at ice skating, but it was fun.
Karen learned to hesitantly twirl.
That was even more fun to watch.

Lily has two best friends.
and Stu......

She can't live without either of them.
While I can understand her fascination with Bup, I think her love affair with Stu is hilarious.
She asks for Bup first thing in the morning, last thing at bedtime, and all in between.
He's the nourishing type.

The more Bups the better.

Complaining to me and Bup.

Stu is more for fun.
She likes hanging out with him.
Watching Cinderella with Stu. She wept and wailed when I tried to take him away.

Playing in the room together. Notice she gave Stu his own toy to play with.

Cuddling up with a stuffed hippo.

And reading some books at bedtime.

If she can't find Stu for some reason, she doesn't mind hanging out with Little Stu.
Begging for bubbles.

Little Stu lending his support during potty training.

I had imaginary friends when I was a kid.
Lily doesn't have to imagine....she has Bup and Stu.

New shoes and a pie

I made this pie for our church potluck this past Sunday.
All from scratch.
I was (and am) absurdly proud of myself.
It was perfect!
Flaky crust and all that.

I also got these new shoes and had to wear them on Sunday.
Even though it was semi snowy.
They're cute!
I had to!

I happily walked out the front door, veered towards my car, did a Bambi move on the snow, and fell flat on my face.
Well, it would've been my face except I was holding the pie.
I shrieked," Protect the pie!!!", and landed on my elbows.
Don't worry though...I was ok.
