I used to sing this one for all the kids er BOYS in the neighborhood. I was the only girl except for some older sisters who were way too cool for us. Anyway, I thought I could sing just like Melanie. (We never knew her last name, even on her album cover!) I am out of touch with all the boys from the old subdivision, but I am sure they remember me 40 years later as the girl who could sing just like Melanie!
